Shoreline Amphitheater was designed to resemble The Greatful Deads "Steal Your Face" logo

Built in 1985-1986 by the city of Mountain View in cooperation with local promoter Bill Graham, the Shoreline Amphitheater was part of the Shoreline Park project. Bill Graham designed the amphitheatre to resemble The Grateful Dead's "steal your face" logo. Although from the air is the only way to tell, you can see the shape of it from these overlays.
