Rock Talk USA Review

The Empress Theatre is a beautifully restored historical landmark built in 1911. Located in downtown Vallejo, California, it was re-opened in 2008 after nearly 20 years of disuse following the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake. The Beaux Arts style building was kept in the original style of the decade in which it was built, with gold-leafed clouds on the ceiling and red velvet seats. They have a large lounge that is all decorated with black and white table linens and it feels like old Hollywood. Inside the lounge you will fine intimate tables with fresh flowers and a bar serving wine and beer. The gilded gold ceilings to Art Deco features run throughout the theater as well as the bar and lounge area. The Empress Theatre hosts a variety of live music and theater, including comedy shows and musical performances of all styles. The theater side of the venue seats over 450 and has a large stage with great lighting and acoustics. We just recently went there for the first time and can say it's a very nice place to enjoy live entertainment.  I'm sure now that we have experiences it, we are sure to go back many more times in the future.
